Kim de Groot
Kim de Groot has been working as an editorial stylist, interior decorator, photo and prop stylist, forecaster and concept developer since 2010.
Kim's ‘out-of-the-box’ creative flare and conceptual approach go hand in hand with her developed eye for spotting trends well in advance. Various brands have hired Kim’s creative brain and brainstorming talent, working together to develop new collections or heading in new strategic directions.
During her career Kim has styled and decorated several private homes and has a broad knowledge of the interior design sector. Kim has been able to apply and show off her knowledge and talent during her long term employment at one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful and inspirational interior shops: Friday next.
Kim initiated the transformation of the stores basement into an exhibition space. As curator of this space Kim works with upcoming talents from far and wide, as well as established Dutch artists, including; Sacha de Boer, Diana Scherer, Lyndie Dourthe, Roos Soetekouw, Serge Henri VaIcke, Mae Engelgeer, Pepe Heykoop and Lex Pott.
Kim has been resident stylist for the successful and internationally celebrated brand SNURK Beddengoed since its inception in 2009. In this role Kim is responsible for the concept development and styling of all their promotional pictures and fair stand design. One of her collaborations with SNURK Beddengoed was the development of a window display at department store De Bijenkorf Amsterdam.
